As a former footballing legend and tough guy movie star, Vinnie Jones is once again flexing his muscles. This time, he's behind the controls of the World of Tanks franchise. This beefy 'juggernaut' is coming down the chimney for World of Tanks, World of Tanks Blitz, and World of Tanks Modern Armor.
Wargaming has had no shortage of action heroes coming aboard for its annual Holiday Ops events, with previous alumni including Resident Evil's Milla Jovovich, Terminator's Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the world's (potentially) toughest man, Chuck Norris. In 2023, that tradition continues.
Vinnie Jones is coming to the World of Tanks franchise
Swapping Santa's sled for something a little more robust, Jones is landing in-game as a Commander, boasting his own crew from December 1, 2023. Having worked as Santa's enforcer, Jones is handing in his notice and heading to World of Tanks for a career change. Not before he and his crew finish one last naughty list.
If you accept this mission, you can team up with Jones in the tanker garage, with him dishing out new challenges and quests. You wannabe Santa's little helpers can earn themed customisation items that include celebrity-inspired tank skins, emblems, inscriptions, decals, medals, unique decorations, avatars, and more.
Best yet, World of Tanks and World of Tanks Modern Armor players can recruit Vinnie Jones to their own tank crews - complete with iconic voice lines to support tankers this snowy season.
Vinnie Jones is hanging up his candy canes
Discussing what it's like leading the festive season for Wargaming, Jones said, "You heard that correct, I'm hanging up my candy canes for good to join the awesome World of Tanks players for Holiday Ops 2024. My days of 'correcting' people on the naughty list are over."
Giving us an ominous warning, Jones concluded, "I am a World of Tanks commander now, and it is going to be 'Jingle-Bells' all the way!" As Vinnie Jones isn't a guy we'd be messing with, we hope you've done enough to stay on the nice list this year. If not, don't say we didn't warn you.
