Finding the perfect weapon to pair alongside your sniper in Warzone 2 can be a difficult task, especially considering there are so many top-tier options in the current meta.
While a lot of the community gravitates towards SMGs like the Vaznev-9k, Lachmann Sub or the MP5, it may be time to consider picking up a 'sniper support' AR.
Warzone 2 guru Metaphor is convinced that one specific AR is perfect for dominating Ranked alongside a sniper, as it decimates foes at short to mid-range.
Not only that, Metaphor has even provided the number one build for the gun so you can start using it to gain more precious SR immediately.

For Metaphor, the Kastov-74u is the 'best sniper support' in Warzone 2 Ranked, as the gun is so strong at close to mid-range gunfights.
The expert also makes it clear that the choice to run the Kastov-74u was influenced by the number of players running the MP5. In his opinion, the 74u is a good counter against the SMG as it's more consistent at mid-range and will usually come out on top.
Overall, they argue the weapon is 'really good' and deserves more attention from players, especially those that are looking to rack up SR in Ranked.
In terms of the loadout, it focuses on bolstering the gun's recoil, keeping its ADS time low, but also maintaining enough firepower so it's absolutely lethal in skirmishes.
