Warzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has uncovered an off-meta AR that's being overlooked by the WZ2 despite having a "wildly" strong TTK.

When it comes to close-range gunfights in Warzone 2, the majority of players will opt for a meta SMG with plenty of firepower.
Weapons like the Vaznev-9k, Lachmann Sub, and MX9 have all established themselves as top-tier options, but sometimes it's better to think outside the box to gain an advantage over your foes. This involves finding a gun that's going under the radar with the potential of being a hidden gem.
Well, Warzone 2 YouTuber WhosImmortal believes there's a unique off-meta AR that can contend with the best SMGs thanks to its "wildly" strong TTK at close quarters.

Most ARs in Warzone 2 are built to laser beam foes from afar, but the STB 556 stands out from the crowd as it performs best at close-range.
After diving into the stats, WhosImmortal realized that the STB has a "wildly" strong TTK and is capable of wiping out enemies in milliseconds with the correct setup.
The gun's damage output dominates the Lachmann, Vaznev, and VEL-46 past 15 meters, making it a brilliant alternative in the current meta.
WhosImmortal's loadout focuses on making the STB 556 as "aggressive as possible", which means pushing the AR's damage and mobility to the limits.
Despite its strength at close quarters, the STB 556 only has a 0.6% pick rate according to WZRanked, which is extremely low.
There's no doubt this AR deserves more attention and has been forgotten by a lot of players. So, if you're looking for a powerful off-meta pick heading into the Season 3 update, look no further than the STB 556.
