Warzone 2 ‘one-shot sniper' discovered by FaZe Clan streamer

There's a way to get one-shot kills in Warzone 2, as one FaZe Clan streamer has apparently found the mythical sniper class lurking in plain sight.

We miss the Kar98K days of Verdansk, putting together montages that felt like we'd been cast back to the old Modern Warfare 2 days - filled with 360 headshots and Tomahawk finishes.

Warzone 2 did away with this feeling when it scrapped the "one-shot" ability of snipers in the battle royale, diminishing our nostalgia burst and the entertainment of being a real-life Deadeye.

But how about using arrows and turning into Legolas? That's the vibe we're seeing from FaZe Clan streamer Ean "Booya" Chase, who made a one-shot sniper from a Crossbow.

Warzone 2 devs recently stripped away a makeshift one-shot sniper from the game, which relied on incendiary rounds, but what they failed to think of was the explosive bolts that the Crossbow holds.

Now, FaZe Booya has adopted the Crossbow and built a sniper loadout that downs all enemies in one shot, even across the map in Ashika Island.

"This is the most fun I've had in Warzone so far," said Booya, who was living for the one-shot capabilities of this gun.

The trick is all in the explosive bolt rounds, which are a powerful alternative to the recently nerfed incendiary bullets from a handful of the snipers.

Combined with a sniper sight and a medley of attachments which help with damage range and bullet velocity, all you need to do is manage the bullet drop correctly and you have a one-shot sniper, albeit with a slight delay on the downs after impact.

  • Laser: VLK LZR 7mw
  • Arms: SO Momenti
  • Bolts: Blastcap 20" Bolts
  • Wire: 28-Strand Cable

While it's no Kar98K, the one-shot Crossbow loadout is the best we're likely to get, given the Warzone 2 developers have been open about their choice to keep snipers as at least a two-tap.
