Jack the Ripper, the Scranton Strangler, the Warzone stream sniper. Some maniacs are just never meant to be unmasked. After seeming like the ultimate Call of Duty troll (apart from the stim glitch) had been banished from Activision's battle royale showstopper, pro players are once again been stream-sniped by a mysterious foe that likes to make animal noises.
In modern shooters, there's nothing more distasteful than someone dancing over your freshly downed corpse, or worse still, teabagging you. However, the mystery of the farmyard stream sniper takes the weird to a whole new level of fun and frolics.
Only recently, big names Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, Turner "Tfue" Tenney, and Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar were targeted by Reddit user u/BrunoJohn117 - who tracked them down and played a variety of wacky noises to put them off their game. Most of the big names laughed it off as a bit of fun, but not content with one round, BrunoJohn117 is back with animal noises....the sequel!
Why is someone making animal noises in Call of Duty: Warzone?
At the time of writing, the video has 5k upvotes, with viewers loving the idea of punking the big boys inside Warzone. As well as playing a rooster sound to Dennis "Cloakzy" Lepore, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop is trolled with the Fortnite dance, BrainDead Bernie has his stream interrupted by a horse, and TimTheTatMan is bombarded with dolphins. Our personal favourite is seeing Cloakzy struggle to hold it together as he chuckles, "It's a f*****g dog, that guy's playing animal sounds again", in hysterics.
Namely, it's nice to see everyone getting along and taking this unusual interruption in their stride. Usually, stream snipers get a bad rep for unfairly using a streamer's high profile status to track them down and pounce on them for the clout. BrunoJohn117 does it in a very different way and bring some much-needed levity to the sometimes serious world of Warzone.
Will we ever find out who is making the animal noises?
Apart from their Reddit name of u/ BrunoJohn117, we don't have anything to go on about who this mystery sound sniper is and where they're hiding. Maybe we'll have a Corpse Husband scenario on our hands where they'll stream and keep their identity a secret. Either way, BrunoJohn117 seems to just be in it for the fun and isn't technically stream sniping the pro-players in a typical sense.
Responding to the video on Reddit, other players loved that the OP is spreading a little joy. One fan wrote, "You’re one of the good guys! Love this". Another added, Came here to talk crap about stream snipers but this was really good. Thanks for changing it up bro and giving us some good laughs", while a third smiled, "Possibly the most laughs iv had in a while, take my upvote".
BrunoJohn117 asked for people's suggestions for what he should get the pros with next. Choices ranged from an elephant seal to koala screams, with someone else suggesting Morgan Freeman. They said that using clips from films or shows would likely raise a DMCA violation for the streamers, so they're just sticking with animal noises for now. It's been a few months between videos, but we're hoping BrunoJohn117 will be back soon to brighten up Verdansk - well, the all-new Verdansk - as we head into Warzone Season 3.
