After fans were avidly annoyed with Rebirth Island's removal, Warzone devs have played a cruel trick.

Rebirth Island stans, you might as well pack up the pads and store them in a safe place until Warzone 2, as Raven Software is actively mocking you following the removal of the small-based map.

Warzone's current method of map rotation has already rattled a few players, with Fortune's Keep and Rebirth Island both being swapped out at will while the stagnant Caldera persists.

Coming into Season 5, people have finally had enough of the rotation, and have slammed the developers. Not that they cared though...

Warzone Fans Beg For Rebirth Island Back

Like a toddler begging for his toys or dummy, Warzone fans have bawled their eyes out to play the pity card towards Raven Software, begging that they stop removing Rebirth Island, given that it's the most popular map in the game at the moment.

"PLEASE stop removing rebirth and adding and changing things in the game literally no one asked for," one viral Reddit thread has pleaded, reiterating that Caldera and Fortune's Keep are much less popular.

"I beg you to stop taking Rebirth out of the playlist. Literally, half the player base don't want to play Caldera or FK," the user added.

Fortune's Keep has been well received by the fan base, although players tend to prefer to play the third map as a luxury, rather than being forced to, which takes away from the fun.

Warzone Devs Mock Rebirth Island Crybabies

One developer in the Warzone studios has smashed his middle finger on the enter key to flip off Rebirth Island fans, as a new in-game challenge mocks those who continue to stand by the map.

One fan found that their daily challenge was to open three Caches at the Nova 6 factory on Rebirth Island, which is now an impossibility considering they have removed the entire landscape.

If you listen closely you can hear the maniacal "mwahaha" from Raven Software's challenge designer.

Rebirth Island will return at some point throughout Season 5, but with the Modern Warfare 2 beta on the horizon, it might be that many players have landed in the map for the last time.
