The typical close-range Warzone meta is dominated by lightning-fast SMGs and the occasional shotgun that's usually heavily overtuned.
It's not often that a secondary snatches the reigns and begins taking over the battle royale scene, but in Season 3, that's exactly what's happening.
Since the patch went live, the Renetti Pistol has been a serious problem. Thanks to its blistering TTK, the weapon deletes enemies in face-to-face combat.
Now everyone has jumped on the bandwagon, the Warzone community are calling for the "busted" gun to be nerfed immediately.
Warzone players are tired of the "broken" Renetti
The Renetti is causing absolute chaos on Rebirth Island and Urzikstan for ZaagKicks on the CoDWarzone subreddit, the "no skill" Pistol needs to be hit with the nerf hammer.
For them, BR is becoming a "hot mess" as nearly every competitor has the Renetti in hand and it "one-shots" anyone in its path. As you would expect, this isn't an isolated opinion, with Warzone players feeling forced to add the weapon to their loadout list just to be able to compete.
"You have to run it since it's so much faster than everything else," said one user, with another claiming, "Legit this, was just playing a game and lost to someone because I wasn’t using it... it's a snowball effect of people using it."
Some Warzone competitors are having a "blast" with the Renetti
Not everyone is outraged by the weapon, though, with certain Warzone competitors embracing the new meta and making it clear they're having a "blast" with the Renetti.
In their opinion, a nerf will come for the Pistol, and it will just be replaced with another OP gun, so you may as well just enjoy the chaos while it lasts.
"Why does everyone always act outraged anew when the next broken gun rotates in? There's always a new broken gun," said one user, with another arguing, "New metas are fun IMO, let's be glad it's not an LMG or shotgun meta."
It's almost guaranteed that Renetti will be hit with changes very soon, but in the meantime, the Pistol remains the king of Warzone. The question is, will the devs nerf the weapon into oblivion or keep it relevant in the Season 3 meta?
