Warzone fans will get a first taste of the Urzikstan map a month early, but you will have to buy Modern Warfare 3 first.

It's almost time to wave goodbye to Al Mazrah, and the map will be waved off with a warm sense of friendship.

Warzone 2 might have had many, many faults on its original launch, but Al Mazrah wasn't one of them. Still, it's time for a reinvention of Warzone and with it will come a new map based in the Call of Duty-made location Urzikstan.

Although the map is set to launch in full in December, Warzone fans are actually being treated to a full month of access to the new landscape. It just costs $70, minimum.

Warzone fans can play Urzikstan early, for a hefty fee

If you're a free-to-play Warzone-only fan, you might want to look away now, as this will be a bitter pill to swallow.

With the launch of Modern Warfare 3 comes the Zombies game mode, and the open-world DMZ-Outbreak crossover will be ready to go at launch, as Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch have now revealed just what fans can expect to see.

In the latest blog post, the developers confirmed that Urzikstan's full map will be playable in Zombies, and given that you have the freedom of the entire landscape from the get-go, it looks like you'll have more than enough time to explore through the entire space before Warzone actually arrives.

"You have freedom and flexibility to explore the Exclusion Zone throughout Urzikstan," the blog post reads.

"Begin to acclimate to the horrors of the Urzikstan Exclusion Zone and commence a multilayered storyline that focuses on a variety of Tiered Missions in three Acts," it adds.

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies will be the first taste of Warzone's Urzikstan map

Modern Warfare 3 will launch on November 9, where Zombies will be instantly available to be played. However, Warzone integration is not planned until Season 1, which, although there isn't a date set in stone, will be in early December.

This will give Modern Warfare 3 players a full three weeks, at least, to scout out Urzikstan before the battle royale mode is introduced.

Given that Zombies will also start at a slow pace, you'll even be able to have quite a leisurely look at some of the POIs around the outskirts, before heading inland to scatter the main hubs of contact with zombie brains.

If you're not spending that $70 for the base game though, then you're going to have to wait patiently.
