Warzone fans absolutely "hate" an annoying Melee Weapon that's completely ruining Rebirth Island and leading to plenty of complaints.

There's always going to be meta weapons in Warzone that are significantly more popular than the rest of the arsenal. Some power picks at the moment include the DG-58 LSW and the Striker 9. However, it's very rare that a melee weapon becomes a serious problem and starts taking over.

On Rebirth Island, the community has noticed a wave of players opting to bash foes to death instead of shooting them from afar. Every culprit seems to be using the same weapon of choice, and it's got so bad that fans are starting to call for nerfs.

Tonfa melee weapon is becoming a problem on Rebirh Island

As showcased by Call of Duty content creator JaysWASD, Rebirth Island may need to be renamed to "Tonfa Island", given how many competitors are using the Melee Weapon.

Countless players are running around with the baton, closing the gap on their opponents and bashing them to death before they have a chance to respond.

In the compilation, you can see multiple opponents pumping bullets into the Tonfa wielders, who seem to just survive the damage and kill anyone in their path.

This playstyle is unlikely to work on Urzikstan due to the huge open spaces, but it's perfect on Rebirth Island, which has so many enclosed spaces and buildings.

Some Warzone fans are calling for another melee damage nerf

Melee kill Warzone

The Tonfa takeover has led to Warzone fans calling for yet another melee damage nerf, as they argue a baton should never be able to kill quicker than a gun that shoots bullets.

"The amount of times yesterday someone beat me with those sticks on Rebirth, Iā€™m traumatized," said one user, with another claiming, "Call of Duty can you please do something about this it's getting out of hand and is making the game unfun."

As the Tonfa is only really a problem on Rebirth, it'll be interesting to see whether the devs decide to implement any changes. Either way, if you're a Rebirth fan, look out for high-speed Operators with deadly batons - they're a serious threat that shouldn't be ignored.
