"Just let us play the goddamn game" is the cry from the Harvey Spectre-like fans in the Call of Duty community as they are sick and tired of having to bare through the opening intro video every single time they want to load into Warzone.

With the arrival of Urzikstan in Warzone, and the Modern Warfare 3 integration coming into play, fans have been itching to get off the drop ship and into a new landscape.

But if you're wanting to get your boots on the ground quickly, well, Call of Duty HQ is holding you back and fans have had enough.

Call of Duty HQ's intro is driving Warzone fans mad

Now that Urzikstan is here, Call of Duty HQ is leaning into the overall battle royale story again by showcasing the new cinematics for Warzone in-game.

Every time you load into Call of Duty now, you are met with a Warzone intro screen which - albeit not as bad as previous years when that honking ship would blow your eardrums into smithereens - is bloody annoying.

Now, just 48 hours after it has launched, fans want it gone.

Taking to Twitter, popular Call of Duty personality "TheGhostOfHope" said, or even screamed, "CAN THEY PLEASE GET RID OF THIS STUPID WARZONE INTRO ALREADY."

Warzone fans call for 'stupid' cinematics to be removed

The cinematic might be pretty cool for the first time you watch it, but after loading in five, six, or seven times, players are fed up of the same old scene which takes ages to skip.

"This is on par with the intros to the MP maps, like so many wasted resources on something that has no impact on the game what so ever and it’s so needless," one fan said.

Another added, "Yeah, it's a way too long intro just to even drop. It was cool the first time, but seeing that every match gets tiring, at least the others were shorter than this."

Some fans did point out that Warzone has always had cutscenes such as the plane intro in years gone by where you would prepare to parachute down, meaning it isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

At least you get some more time to plan your drops, maybe it will soon just turn into meaningless chatter time.
