Warzone fans slam 'ridiculous' wait times for spectating players

Warzone fans have slammed the "ridiculous" wait times required to spectate players, arguing it's not acceptable for a triple-A game to be so slow.

When you're playing with friends on Warzone, part of the fun is being able to spectate your team once you've died.

Watching your allies make outplays or travel across deadly open ground in hopes of buying their squad back is all part of the ultimate BR experience.

However, actually getting to the spectate screen is a task for a lot of the community, who are complaining about the "ridiculous" wait times.

In their opinion, a game as big as Warzone in 2024 shouldn't take such a long time to load a simple spectate screen.

Warzone players cannot believe how long it takes to spectate

Taking to the CoDWarzone subreddit, user Qwayze_ decided to highlight their problem with the "length of time it takes to spectate the next player," arguing it's "ridiculous" that there's a "20-second" window of just load time in a title as big as Warzone.

"How can a game in 2024 not load the spectating view of players within 20 seconds, you have people with RTX 4090s not being able to watch their squad in the time."

This sparked a massive discussion amongst Warzone competitors, who are increasingly frustrated with the growing list of quality of life issues. The most confusing part of it all is that those with the best hardware on the market are still affected, proving it's a problem with the servers.

"It's funny how you bring out the expensive GPU that has nothing to do with this, it is the spectating tech they use. Basically what you see is what the server sees," says one user, with another claiming, "How can a game in 2024 not do many things? That’s Warzone in a nutshell."

Nonstop issues are causing Warzone fans to "uninstall"

On the whole, this may seem like a minor issue, but the ongoing pile-up of these smaller problems is causing Warzone players to quit completely.

With other options like Fortnite and Apex Legends on the table, it's clear some Call of Duty players have simply had enough.

"Just uninstalled this... S**t audio, s**t aim bot in 4 straight ranked games, s**t game," said one frustrated player.

It's hard to imagine this is going to get fixed anytime soon, and while it's easy to call this complaint petty, it's just one of many long-standing problems the Warzone community are getting tired of experiencing.
