Warzone looks set to be 'doomed' by the MX Guardian shotgun, as the Call of Duty blog has already claimed that it will usurp other guns and reign supreme.

Casting your minds back, aside from the DMR, most of the worst Warzone metas have been thanks to shotguns or dual-wield pistols.

The KV Broadside is the most recent example of these broken Warzone metas, where the matter of skill is completely removed, and the battle royale simply becomes a test of who can see who first. Once your eyes are locked in a Mexican standoff, the fastest button-pusher will win.

But off the back of the recent hellish Broadside experience, Activision is laughing its socks off as it looks set to ramp up the ante and produce the most deadly gun yet.

Call of Duty promises a 'supreme' Shotgun for Season 4 reloaded

With Warzone Season 4 Reloaded on the horizon, the MX Guardian will join the Call of Duty realm as the only weapon in this new update, alongside a singular map that is already getting hate.

The MX Guardian will be a fully-automatic 12-gauge shotgun (sigh), which can be set to single, burst, or auto fire. It will be equipped with usual shells for spray-and-pray stylistics or slug rounds to become a sort of short-range battle rifle.

The blog claims that the MX Guardian will "usurp" the KV Broadside and "reign supreme" in close-quarters combat, which will serve as the perfect secondary to a sniper or an assault rifle.

Warzone fans worried about the new MX Guardian Shotgun

With this pending doom, many fans have started quaking in their boots at yet another completely broken meta. "An automatic shotgun that’s good up to mid-range and is stronger than the KV. I’m scared," said one fan on Reddit.

Another added, "What's more annoying is they make it sound like it's a funny thing and good for gameplay that a broken, overpowered gun was dominating any and all close-quarter gunfights. It's not funny or fun. It completely kills the gameplay."

Some disgruntled gamers also pointed out that the multiplayer lobbies will also feel the wrath of the MX Guardian, with Shipment set to become a complete nightmare.
