As the run-up to Warzone Season 3 has put a spanner in the works for all those Resurgence fans out there, the countdown to the end of the season has begun to tick, with a new dawn on the horizon.

The questionable - to say the least - map rotation system has axed multiple maps and modes combinations over the next four weeks as Raven Software gathers some intel and feedback.

But with Season 3 just around the corner, Resurgence maps are set to get another buff as Rebirth Island nears its release, and now new leaks have offered up some well-needed good news.

New Warzone leaks emerge for Rebirth Island

Previously hinted to arrive in Warzone Season 3, popular leaker BKTOOR has now leaked what appears to be a new loading screen for the upcoming map re-release.

The leak shows Rebirth Island off in a rather familiar light, with the Alcatraz-mimicking prion-centric land in all of its glory, alongside the ship that also docked in during the Vanguard period.

The leaker also claims that Season 3 is definitely the pencilled-in time frame, presumably not being held back until the mid-season update either, giving us just a handful more weeks' worth of waiting.

Rebirth Island leaked images suggest Raven has avoided making the same mistakes made with Fortune's Keep

With the image now circulating on social media, it appears that Raven Software has not made the same mistakes as they did with the re-skin of Fortune's Keep.

Many Resurgence fans have been openly critical of the massive holes in the ground caused by a developer-made earthquake; while the destruction of buildings has added a new element and a different feel to the map, the bigger divots have only ruined the pacing and caused for some rather edgy late-game periods.

But, the Rebirth Island image appears to show the map will be mainly untouched, leaving some minor adjustments possible, but there will be no game-changing craters in the middle of the map that will damage gameplay.

Season 3 is pencilled in for the beginning of April, and while the new Warzone playlist rotation rages on, it might be worth biting the bullet and getting some reps in with the squad so that you're all geared up for the iconic maps' reintroduction soon.
