Grenades and Semtex are staples of the Call of Duty games, even if noob tubing is a dying art. The lethal equipment is extremely useful to have in your arsenal, being a clever way to catch players who are hiding behind cover, or serving as a deterrent for players to move in certain locations.
Modern Warfare 2 Ranked players can attest to that case where you will never cross to the A-bomb on defence when playing Mercado Las Almas without a trophy system.
Still, Warzone players are now calling for their removal, as some moguls of the game believe the stunning impact that they offer now makes them too overpowered in Ranked.
IceManIsaac calls for Warzone Ranked to restrict grenades
With the introduction of Warzone Ranked, players found that many items have become restricted, echoing the rules of competitive Warzone tournaments. It means items like Claymores and Bouncing Bettys are off the cards.
However, after players have now begun spamming lethals because of their stun aspect and armour-shattering damage, Warzone mogul "IceManIsaac" has now called for their removal.
Taking to Twitter (X) in a now-deleted tweet (post), the content creator pleaded, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NERF THE LETHAL SPAM!" with an accompanying video of a team bombarding another with an arrange of explosives.
"Every gunfight starts like this. Nades do WAY too much damage, and the ability to stow makes it even worse," IceManIsaac added.
Warzone players demand nerfs to lethal grenades
With the restriction of grenades rather unlikely, the streamer continued to beg the developers to at least nerf them. "GET RID OF THE STAGGER FROM EXPLOSIVES!" he shouted on Twitter (X).
"It's bad enough one semtex can knock all my plates and then some health, but on top of that, I’m stuck walking for two seconds," he continued.
Fellow competitor Huskers also agreed that they are too much, before offering a solution of "What if they changed the number you could carry on you to 1, but you can still stow groups of 2?"
With Season 5 only just getting underway, we might have to wait a number of weeks before a nerf comes into play. For now, keep an eye out for Trophy Systems, they'll be a lifesaver in Ranked.
