The pro Call of Duty players are at it again, now claiming that the infamous nuke achievement is too easy to get in the current state of Warzone.

Getting a Nuke in Call of Duty has always been an enviable achievement and a goal of anyone who claims they're remotely 'good' at the shooter. It used to involve you racking up a kill streak of 25 players without dying in a single match, which we're sure you can grasp is no easy feat.

The process has changed somewhat in Warzone because it's a battle royale game. Now, players must win five matches in a row, then hunt down three nuclear cores in the sixth match, and defend an area while it detonates.

However, with an additional way to earn a Nuke added in the Season 1 Reloaded update, some professional players are claiming that earning a Nuke in Warzone is easier than it ever has been.

Going for a Nuke in Warzone is called the 'Champions Quest', and this is what you'll need to be able to hunt down those fabled nuclear isotopes needed to detonate the bomb. While you can still get this quest by winning five matches in a row, you can now also unlock it if you complete 30 matches in a single season.

It appears that this change is to make Nukes that little bit more accessible for the average player. After all, how likely do you think it is that Joe Bloggs is able to win five matches of Warzone in a row when he's just sat down for a few chill games after work?

Simply participating in 30 matches and then being given the opportunity to go for a Nuke seems much easier for the masses and brings the excitement of it all to more players.

However, that's not the way some professional players see it. Speaking on the Pullze Check podcast, Fifakill told the audience, "I think they’re just a little bit too easy. Maybe that’s just a top 0.01% thing, right, but I just don’t think that they give us that same dope as before."

Another professional Warzone player, Ebatez, responds by pointing out that a 'steal' mechanic is on its way, which will make this new method of earning Nukes much harder: "When stealing comes, it’ll make things so much more difficult."

Will Nukes remain tricky to get?

Getting a Nuke in Warzone 2

Raven Software, the developer behind Warzone, hasn't responded to any of these comments yet, so the method of earning Nukes will likely remain the same for now.

Looking at comments online, it appears that the general sentiment is that the professional players are a little out of touch with the general player base. Prominent Call of Duty tweeter ModernWarzone replied, "The average player will never get a nuke in their life, we gotta keep perspective in these types of conversations."

Another user, J2X, said, "Looking a lot like confirmation y'all continue to lose touch with the playerbase, viewers, and fans. You're the exceptions, not the rule." Still, with some getting a Nuke within hours of them going live in Urizkstan, the pros might not be as harsh as they seem.

The disparity between how professional players see Call of Duty and how the general fan base sees it has always raged on, and it seems that this particular topic is no different. Is a bit of fun in our shooty video game too much to ask for?
