Although cheating is a serious problem in Call of Duty, especially in Warzone, there's also a massive issue of being incorrectly banned, thanks to mass reporters.

It seems like anyone with a good gunny nowadays is "using Cronus" or "soft aim", and not just taking advantage of the heavy rotational aim assist and some good old-fashioned sharpshooting.

But this habit of reporting everyone who kills you is ruining Warzone for a lot of legitimate players, and now a Redditor has highlighted why.

Warzone players are being 'incorrectly shadowbanned'

Reddit user "Gojirha" took to the platform to showcase some casual solos play, where they claimed to have a 1.15 K/D and were working their way through the Urzikstan map with their interstellar gun.

But after two pretty simple back-to-back kills towards the end of a match, the player was kicked from the lobby and has since been "shadowbanned", being placed in matches with other players who have been reported and placed under Activision's microscope for cheating.

"I don’t cheat, but now I am unable to play the game I paid for this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever encountered," the Redditor said.

Warzone players are fed up with false hacking reports

Even in the Reddit thread, players accused the user of using additional controller support to shoot properly, although they were on Mouse and Keyboard...

One fan who stuck up for the Redditor said, "Welcome to Warzone where you get banned for being better than everyone else and actual hackers get away with hacking Scott-free."

Another added, "Everyone on this Subreddit is sore losers who will claim you're hacking even if you have all the evidence to prove you didn't."

Previously, the developers claimed Ricochet anti-cheat was helping limit "spam reporting", but when SBMM is so up-and-down, players who can shoot semi-accurately are still being hit with some rather annoying momentary bans.
