At this stage, it seems like there's a new streamer controversy every day. We're still in the throes of dealing with Adin Ross falling out with IShowSpeed, which is important for some reason. There are also the ongoing swattings, bannings, and cancellations that Twitch and Kick creators are working with.

And now, there's a new controversy to add to the list. One prominent Call of Duty: Warzone streamer has openly mocked the LGBTQ+ community and has been met with flak over her comments.

Popular Warzone content creator Nadia "Nadia" Amine has recently come under fire for a TikTok that pokes fun at LGBTQ+ gamers and how she thinks they play Warzone.

The clip shows how various types of people play Warzone, and as Nadia gets to a section on how the LGBTQ+ community fires their weapons, she shoots all over the place. Because apparently, they can't shoot straight. Get it?

It's a dumb joke for sure, but some people have pointed out that this is a pretty meagre attempt to farm for hate clicks and stir up her own controversy to stay relevant. Well done Nadia, we see what you've done there.

Nadia responds to backlash

Following this kickback from her audience, Nadia has released a TikTok replying to another video accusing her of mocking the LGBTQ+ community - saying "How can I be homophobic if my uncle's dog is gay?" Very funny, Nadia.

She also adds in a Twitch stream she titles "I got cancelled," Nadia suggests that the backlash to the video is a result of misogyny. "Y'all hate me so much because I'm a girl. It's the truth," she says.

It's not a particularly sensitive response, adding further fuel to the fire of people accusing her of creating content simply for hateful engagement. Either way, she's doubling down on her stance and refusing to retract her original sentiments.

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide if her initial video was a bigoted shot at the LGBTQ+ community or simply a joke. It's impressive how far an uninteresting TikTok can travel when it's fuelled by the potential for outrage.
