For years, Warzone players moaned that PC gamers had the advantage over their console counterparts because of the innocuous Field of View slider.

Having been a huge part of the battle royale's skill gap in the original title, the field was balanced in the sequel as Warzone 2 finally dropped a slider on consoles, allowing players on all consoles to boast the same settings.

However, the myth that a wider camera pan is better might have just been debunked, as one player has proven that 60 FOV is better than 120 for one very crucial reason.

Streamer Debunks FOV Slider Myth

Warzone streamer "Lucky Chamu" has done some digging into the FOV propaganda and found that there is a solid reason to be using the minimal settings on the FOV slider in certain circumstances.

Despite playing normally on 120 FOV, being able to locate players' locations quite easily, the content creator has begun switching to the closer camera pan for long-range combat engagements.

Lucky Chamu used the added zoom to stay accurate and even have better eyesight against players cowering in corners.

The content creator switches from 120 to 60 FOV in certain combat situations to increase their accuracy, proving that the setting is actually better in these gunfights, rather than the zoomed-out option.

Warzone Streamer Debunks FOV Myth

After picking up three kills with the minimum FOV option - one where he was able to finish off an enemy with a closer camera as opposed to the first attempt on 120 and another who was hiding behind a fence -  Lucky Chamu claimed that "I am cheating for this".

Obviously, this setting isn't ideal for the entirety of a Warzone match, and the content creator soon switches back when it was time to rotate.

With a UAV live and an accurate weapon in hand though, switching to 60 FOV might just be the new cheat code in Warzone 2. Come on, come and give it a go if you think you're hard enough.
