Old-school Black Ops maps are reportedly filling up the new Warzone map, much like in Blackout.

Call of Duty's underrated Blackout mode had some significant flaws that prevented it from taking off in the same vein as Warzone did - especially since it was held behind the paywall of Black Ops 4. Still, the map was adored and might even be up there alongside Verdansk for those who played both.

After repeated calls for Blackout to return, Treyarch is seemingly taking inspiration from the 2018 design and giving us a sequel of sorts in the next iteration of Call of Duty's battle royale contingent.

Classic Black Ops maps set to populate Warzone's Avalon POIs

Blackout's main pull was that it highlighted many of the best Black Ops maps, boasting everything from Raid to Nuketown.

The latter is already slated to feature as a focal point in Treyarch's debut Warzone Resurgence map, Area 99, and now, more Black Ops creations are set to follow as POIs on Avalon. Avalon is supposedly the studio's first large-scale map that will succeed Verdansk.

In a now-copyrighted tweet, leaker "Reality" revealed snippets of Avalon which featured the Black Ops 4 map Hacienda, which has also been rumoured to be landing in Black Ops 6 as a multiplayer map.

Hacienda was quite the popular map in Black Ops 4, proving to be a hit with different corners of the community as a great public match landscape offering all styles of gameplay. It was a fantastic competitive map throughout the Call of Duty World League season.

Reality also teased Hazard and WMD from Black Ops 1 and 2, respectively, although there wasn't as much confirmation as Hacienda. Similar to how Al Mazrah had Embassy and Highrise in POIs for MW2, it might be that these maps will also feature in the next Call of Duty game,

Previous leaks also claimed that the Black Ops 6 maps Skyline, Protocol, and Stakeout will all feature on Avalon. For Blackout fans, this looks to be hitting the sweet spot, and for those free-to-play Warzone users who never got to enjoy that era, it's time to inject some colour into this beige battle royale.
