Only twice has a World Championship-winning roster made a change in Call of Duty esports in the time between hoisting the esteemed trophy above their heads and firing the first bullets in the following season.

Both of these times saw James "Clayster" Eubanks be on the receiving end of transfers, albeit forced through the forming of the franchised league (where eUnited chose not to join) and the revert to four versus four (seeing the collapse of Dallas Empire).

Now though, New York Subliners is daring to do what nobody else has ever chosen to do, and has made a roster change just weeks after being crowned as the greatest team in the game.

Priestahh leaves New York Subliners amid Sib rumours

It was previously reported that contract re-negotiations were afoot for the Subliners, with Preston "Priestahh" Greiner and Matthew "KiSMET" Tinsley both up for renewal.

However, reports suggested that Priestahh's discussions had stalled, with suggestions that he was being low-balled on his salary whereas KiSMET was being honoured.

So, with both parties at crossroads, it is now confirmed that Priestahh has left the organisation.

This also comes after Subliners are reportedly eyeing a replacement in the flex position in former Seattle Surge player Daunte "Sib" Gray.

Priestahh says leaving Subliners is a 'hard pill to swallow'

With a shock exit from the organisation, Priestahh took to Twitter to express his discontent but quickly wrapped up any discussions of him bowing out of the scene entirely.

"The best season I’ve had in my career and I’ve been released. Definitely a hard pill to swallow, but I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be back," he said.

If reports are to be believed, Priestahh is likely to reunite with Austin "SlasheR" Liddicoat again, who featured together in one of the early and successful 100 Thieves rosters, although their destination is unclear.
