Christmas on the horizon only means one thing: Call of Duty noobs are on the way.

It's the making of Christmas day. Wake up, open presents, slam some Modern Warfare newbies, eat turkey, and drink eggnog and Bucks Fizz until Santa is snoring.

This year is no different, as following on from a lucrative free trial, Xbox is slashing the price on their newest franchise acquisition, chopping off more than a third of the price for Modern Warfare 3.

Xbox Game Pass slashes Modern Warfare 3 price

Right off the back of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday wheelings and dealings, Microsoft is back again with another huge sale on the newest Call of Duty title, tempting players and parents into making the investment before the festive celebrations.

For one day only, the Modern Warfare 3 Cross-Gen Bundle is being slashed by 35% on Xbox, taking the price down from £70 to £45.

The catch is that you must have the Xbox Game Pass subscription, meaning physical copies won't count, and you won't be able to wrap up Captain Price's face to go underneath your tree.

Call of Duty is finally reaping the Microsoft rewards

So far, since Microsoft finally merged with Activision, Call of Duty fans have had very few benefits, aside from the old Xbox servers for classic titles being reinstated - something that has now petered off in popularity.

Now though it looks like Xbox is finally being savvy with its newest toy, and this only fares as positive news for long-time fans of Microsoft's consoles.

In the future, more flash sales will likely come for Xbox and Call of Duty, although they might offer you some more time to get your rewards than 24 hours.
