Here's how to get Stellar Crystals in AFK Journey
Stellar Crystals are very important if you want to roll for Celestial or Hypogean heroes in AFK Journey, and here are all the ways to them in the game.
Stellar Crystals are a rare late-game resource in AFK Journey used specifically for recruiting certain heroes.
Once you’ve recruited 400 times you’ll unlock the Stargaze Station, and it’s here that you can use Stellar Crystals to roll for rare Hypogean or Celestial heroes.
Adding these to your team can give you a big boost, especially if you can level them up - but they are hard to come by, so what are the different ways to get them?
What are the ways to get Stellar Crystals?
The main way to get Stellar Crystals in the game is by buying them from the Recruitment Store or Guild Store. You can get guaranteed Stellar Crystals here in exchange for regular currency like Diamonds or Dolly Tickets.
However, they’ve got a limit of six per month in the Guild Store and three per month in the Recruitment Store. Your first purchase will be discounted there though.
Of course, you can also buy them if you’re willing to spend money on them. This is definitely a quicker way to get them, but you’ll likely be better off saving it and focusing on levelling up regular S-level characters.
As a free-to-play player, I don’t really need to focus on obtaining Celestials or Hypogeans to make progress just yet, and you might be in the same boat. You can get these rarer heroes through other methods such as spending 30,000 Medals in the Guild Store, making Stellar Crystals less important.
Will there be more ways to get Stellar Crystals?
We learned recently that the devs will be adding a new mode for those who’ve completed the AFK stages and the story quests. This mode, called the Trial of Abyss, will reward players with Stellar Crystals.
We don’t know much more about it yet, but definitely keep an eye out for that mode if you’re progressing quickly through the game. The average player won’t need to worry about this mode though - it’ll take a long time to unlock it since the requirements are so difficult.
