There's a new set of Military Rank rewards to unlock in MW3, giving you a new level cap for pre-season to grind away at. There's no better feeling than working your way through the levels in a new Call of Duty game, and there are plenty of exciting things waiting to be unleashed.
We've also got some tips that you can use to level up faster and unlock all of the killstreaks, weapons, and equipment as quickly as possible - letting you get the upper hand over your opponents and use your favourite gear in the game.

What is the pre-season level cap in MW3?
The current level cap in pre-season is set to level 55, meaning that you won't be able to progress any further once you have unlocked all of the items on the progression path.
There are no additional levels for you to grind through at the moment, but this will likely be added once the first season gets underway if the same pattern from previous Call of Duty titles is followed. There is also no prestige available right now, and that's something that I always look forward to as it helps keep things fresh and gives me new rewards to work my way towards.
How to level up fast in Modern Warfare 3
You will, of course, want to reach the max level as quickly as possible though - so follow our suggestions listed below to speed through the ranks as efficiently as possible:
- Use Double XP tokens
- These have carried over from MW2, so you will likely have a few ready to use
- Complete Daily Challenges for an XP boost
- Play on smaller maps to get more kills
- Play game modes that aren't scored on kills like Domination or Headquarters
I've always found that maps like Shipment, Rust, and Shoot House in past CoD titles have been the best way to get XP fast, as everyone is so close together that you can rack up loads of kills and be constantly engaged with the objective too.
Combine this with a Double XP token and you will soar through the Military Ranks in no time, earning plenty of new weapons and killstreaks along the way that you can use to get even more XP.
