Find out about Realm & how to join it in Apex Legends
Do you think you're good enough to compete with the pros but don't know how to prove it? Find out how to join Realm in Apex Legends.
Realm is a competitive league for Apex Legends designed as a gateway to the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) for amateur players and a place for professionals to hone their skills. This guide serves as a detailed primer on Realm and how to participate in it.
What is Realm?
Realm is a brand-new opportunity for aspiring pros to make names for themselves and existing pros to practice in a competitive environment that resembles legitimate ALGS matches.
Realm is Solo-Que only. Players are matched together based on their personal performance in Realm matches. If you do well, your MMR goes up. But if you perform poorly, your MMR will deteriorate.
The Solo-Que system prevents top-tier players from stacking their teams and running through lobbies like its Ranked Mode. Ideally, this system separates the pros and highly talented streamers into separate teams composed of up-and-comers and Tier 2 players. Winning in Realm is a true testament to one's skill, as you'll need to collaborate with unfamiliar teammates and succeed despite the circumstances.
To encourage participation and bring attention to Realm, Season 1 offers a massive $150,000 prize pool per region. Prize money is awarded daily to the players at the top of the leaderboard, with large cash prizes handed out to the leaders at the end of Season 1. Additionally, a chunk of the $150,000 prize pool is reserved for in-season pop-up tournaments and an end-of-season tournament.
How to join Realm
To get in on Apex Legend's Realm, you must join the official Realm Pro League Discord server and get verified. Realm is designed to be a highly competitive environment, so it's not for everyone. To join the Realm Pro League, you must meet at least one of the following prerequisites:
- CC/PLQ finalists
- Have a Liquipedia page
- Achieved Master or better in the EMEA region (excluding Season 12 and Arenas)
- Achieved Apex Predator in the NA region (excluding Season 12 and Arenas)
If you don't meet these requirements, an exception can be made if a verified player vouches for you and you get approved by the Realm Pro League Player Council for the region you're applying to.
Once verified, you can freely join the queue while lobbies are running and begin playing matches. Do you have what it takes to rise the ranks, claim cash prizes, and prove you can compete with the best Apex Legends has to offer?
