How to beat Ibis in Armored Core 6
If you're taking on the Ibis fight in Armored Core 6, we have the tips and strategy you need, as we'll show you how to beat it and the best build too.
The Armored Core 6 Ibis fight is one of the fastest and most frenetic boss fights in the game. Armored Core 6 has a wide variety of bosses, while some are incredibly tough, others can be blindingly fast.
The Ibis model IB-01 CEL 240 is likely the fastest boss in the game, but we have some tips that will help you track it down and take it out. Here is our guide for the best build and how to beat the Armored Core 6 Ibis fight.
Strategy & tips to beat Ibis in Armored Core 6
For this fight, we recommend a tanky build with heavy weapons and constant Gatling fire. There are many who recommend this kind of build for all boss fights, as throwing every weapon you have at a boss over and over again is a viable, if boring, strategy.
That said, the Ibis is extremely fast. You don't get many openings to do damage, so when you do you need to make them count. The full build we recommend is below, but suffice it to say you want to be hitting this thing as hard as you can, as often as you can.
As for the fight itself, the Ibis moves around the arena very quickly, often too quickly for your aim to lock on. It fires mostly laser projectiles, which are also extremely fast. As such, you need to be on your toes. Thankfully, because lasers are effectively straight lines, they are quite easily avoided by strafing.
Keep moving left or right, circling the Ibis as it likely also circles you. Keep this dance going and the majority of its attacks will miss. Whenever you hear the alarm or see the red square appear on the Ibis, dodge out of the way to avoid a heavy attack. As you strafe, keep peppering the Ibis with shots.
Consistent Gatling Gun fire will bring it down, as it staggers quite quickly. Only use your shoulder weapons when the Ibis slows down or stays still for long enough, which isn't often. That said, the Needle Launchers do a tonne of damage and can stagger the boss instantly if they both hit. Keep firing your main weapons and you should chew through the Ibis pretty quickly.
Once you take it down, don't start celebrating. This is a two-phase boss, and the second phase is even more dangerous. Thankfully, we don't need to change our strategy. At first, the boss is invincible so avoid the first wave of attacks until you can damage it. Gatling guns will tear it apart all over again, just be sure to really keep moving, and get some air in this stage as its attacks are even more oppressive.

This build can be summed up as some massive weapons on a heavy set of armour. As mentioned in our strategy, the Gatling guns and the needle launchers do heavy damage to this boss, you just need to stay alive long enough to do it. Hence we have built such a tanky mech.
Speaking of tanky, if you are finding this build is not tanky enough, equip the tank treads. We have gone with heavy bipedal legs for the manoeuvrability, but the tank treads are much tougher and can do the job as well.
