Armored Core 6 devs on sharing loadouts with friends
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will allow players to share builds within the game's community - ideal for its tougher boss encounters.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is almost here, with the latest action game from legendary developer From Software taking us to the desolate planet of Rubicon to do battle in a giant mech suit.
As we found out the hard way in our hands-on preview, however, the game is shaping up to be pretty tough - meaning you're likely to want all the help you can get.
While there's no drop-in co-op to help you even the odds, Armored Core 6's Director, Masaru Yamamura, did reveal that players can ask for help from the game's community.
Armored Core 6 will offer loadout sharing for your best mech builds
Speaking as part of a wider group interview, Yamamura revealed that players will be able to upload and share their most creative mech builds, with a custom ID system for sharing the tools of the mercenary trade.
"You can actually create a custom ID for your own AC data for your current loadout, and you can share this easily in-game with other players," Yamamura explained.
"Hopefully this will spark some community discussion as well."
It feels like an ideal addition for those that scour the Armored Core subreddit in search of new tactics to try out.
"If players are having trouble with a specific mission or boss, they can request help and somebody else can recommend their build and upload their custom ID," Yamamura said, pointing to creating a sense of community when tackling some of Armored Core 6's toughest battles.
