How to disable alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage
Take a look at our primer on how to disable alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage, as it's an important way to remain stealthy in heavily guarded areas of Baghdad.
With the returning stealth focus, learning how to disable alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage is vital for players looking to successfully carry out their assassination missions without alerting every guard nearby.
A new Assassin's Creed is finally here after a three-year wait, which is the longest we've gone without a new entry since the series began back in 2007. The game is heavily inspired by the older entries, with elements like reducing notoriety returning, but it does introduce its own features like Tokens too.
If you're excited about the prospect of a new sneaky AC game and want to remain anonymous during your missions, check out how to disable alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage.
How do you disable alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage?
The main way of disabling alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage is to find the alarm bell in a restricted area, and use a throwing knife to cut the rope and make it inoperable.
You'll typically find a couple of these alarms in the restricted, heavily guarded areas across Baghdad. You'll also know you're in one of these areas as the bar below the compass will turn red.
When you see an alarm bell (pictured above), if you activate Eagle Vision, it will highlight the buckle holding the rope up to secure the bell. Pulling out a throwing knife and cutting this will stop guards from being able to use the alarm to call reinforcements.
Once I had disabled alarm bells in AC Mirage, I found I had a bit more freedom to alert the nearby guards without worrying about other guards swarming in, allowing me to take on larger areas one section at a time.

In addition to the alarm bells you'll find around, certain guards carry horns around on them and when alerted they can use it to summon reinforcements. These are highlighted yellow in Eagle Vision, so you can easily pick out a guard with one.
While we recommend avoiding these guards if possible, killing them will stop anyone from being able to use the horn, as other guards cannot pick it up.
That's all for our primer on how to disarm alarms in Assassin's Creed: Mirage, and now you know the two main alarms you need to worry about and how to deal with them.
