You’ll need to figure out how to freeze a hammer-wielding deity with an axe in Astro Bot if you’re looking to collect the coveted Platinum trophy.

Thankfully, this is one of the easier trophies you can collect in the game, and it’s possible after completing the second galaxy - here’s how.

Where to find Thor and Kratos

Firstly, you need to unlock both Thor and Kratos Bots back at the Crash Site.

Kratos is unmissable. Once you defeat the Wako Tako boss at the end of the Tentacle System, he’ll be added to your collection back at the Crash Site.

Thor in Bot of War, Astro Bot

To find Thor, you’ll also need to complete the Bot of War level and find Thor’s Hidden Bot in there. To find him, look out for a pool of icy water to the left of the main path. Find the big horn and blow into it to summon the World Serpent. Thor is sitting on top of it, and you can reach him by platforming up to him on the left side.

There's also a Raven hiding up here that you can hit to unlock another trophy.

Once you’ve whacked him, he’ll also appear back at the Crash Site in the God of War diorama towards the back right of the PS5.

How to freeze Thor with the axe

You sadly won’t be able to freeze Thor with the Leviathan axe yourself - you’ll need to get Kratos to do it for you.

Thaw, God of Thunder trophy

Walk up to Kratos in the middle of the area and hit him by pressing Square. Then, quickly move around to the other side of Thor so that he’s in between you and Kratos. The God of War himself should throw the axe aiming for you but will end up hitting Thor instead.

This should trigger the Thaw, God of Thunder! Trophy and you’ll be one step closer to unlocking that Platinum!
