This guide will show you how to cook meals in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora so you can stay healthy, as well as some of the best meals to make for yourself.
It’s important that you learn how to cook in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. You’ll need to restore health on the go and cooking meals is the best way to make sure you’re healthy.
I’m a fan of how cooking works in the open-world Zelda games, and it basically works the same way in this game. Read on to find out how to start cooking, as well as the best meals you can make with the best effects.
How to cook in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Cooking is very simple in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. All you need to do is find some ingredients then head to a cooking station.
There’s a cooking station right outside Resistance HQ by the front door. You can use this to cook whatever meals you need. You'll find more at other camps across the map too.
To cook a meal, select two ingredients - one to place in the top spot and one to place in the bottom spot. The top ingredient determines what effect the meal will have, while the bottom one determines the meal’s duration (how long the effects last). You can try different ingredient combos to see the different kinds of meals and effects you can get.
The best meals to cook in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Any ingredient that gives you a strong effect or a long duration is a good one to use for cooking meals in this game.
However, in the early game, you’ll only have access to lower-tier ingredients. Feel free to cook as many meals as you can carry as it isn’t hard to find more ingredients in the wild.
Once you’ve gained access to better ingredients (exquisite or superior) you can cook meals with a long duration or a stronger effect. Here are some of the best meal effects to get:
- Fruit - Provides you with extra health
- Fish - Increases your stealth
- Fatty Meat - Increases your damage resistance
You can experiment with different meals to see what works for you, but these are generally good options to have on hand. Hunting stronger animals for their meat will usually result in longer-duration ingredients.
