Battlefield 2042 vehicles are one of the most anticipated aspects of the first-person shooter series. Unlike many other games in the genre, Battlefield matches are played on maps of epic proportions, making vehicles a primary ingredient in the gameplay formula. We've got the full confirmed Battlefield 2042 vehicles list, including how to call in vehicles mid-game.

Battlefield 2042 Vehicles List

The confirmed Battlefield 2042 vehicles list so far includes:

  • AH640GX Apache Warchief Attack Helicopter
  • E6-JGR Recon
  • F-35E Panther Jet
  • Futuristic Three-Wheeled Auto Rickshaw
  • Hovercraft
  • M1A5 Tank
  • MD540 Nightbird Helicopter
  • MV38-Condor
  • Quad Bike/ATV
  • SU-57 Elon Jet
  • T28 Tank

Along with the extended cast of vehicular options, Battlefield 2042 will greatly improve on the vehicle experience as a whole. For example, land vehicles have been designed with specific roles for each seat within a vehicle. Aspiring pilots will be happy to find out that Battlefield 2042’s maps are reported to feature expanded skyboxes, offering grand-scale areas to participate in aerial warfare. While sea vehicles are not a primary focus, Battlefield 2042 will include its fair share of them. All in all, Battlefield 2042 should be the best Battlefield vehicle experience yet.

Battlefield V features 24 different vehicles total, so this list is likely just a taste of the entire Battlefield 2042 vehicle roster. These 11 Battlefield 2042 vehicles are the only ones officially confirmed but expect to see more as we approach the Battlefield 2042 release date.

Battlefield 2042 Vehicles: How To Unlock Vehicles

Unlike Battlefield 2042 Specialists and weapons, all of the Battlefield 2042 vehicles will likely be available right from the very start. While the vehicles will be free to use from the start, there’s a good chance that players will need to unlock the vehicle upgrades like perks and equipment used to customise the loadout of the Battlefield 2042 vehicles.

Battlefield 2042 Vehicles: Customisation

If Battlefield 2042 is anything like its predecessors, players will be able to custom-build their vehicle loadout using an array of unlockable vehicle upgrades like perks and equipment. These range from minor perks like increased ammo capacity to the addition of smoke or mine launchers atop the vehicle.

Additionally, players will be able to customise their vehicles with different cosmetic skins. Players can unlock some of these skins through gameplay while another portion will be accessible via the Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass and other microtransaction purchases.

Battlefield 2042 Vehicles: Vehicle Call-In System

Battlefield 2042 introduces an entirely new way to summon vehicles during a match. Officially titled the Call-In System, Battlefield 2042 players can access a tablet interface mid-match and summon land vehicles to their precise location with the click of a button.

The Call-In System is exclusive to select maps and modes, and each team will have a limited budget dedicated to calling in vehicles. Furthermore, when a player summons a vehicle, they will experience a cooldown before they can request another vehicle. This will prevent individual players from spamming vehicles and allow different players on the team to experience Battlefield's vehicular warfare.

DICE and EA cite Battlefield 2042’s increased map size and player count as a driving factor behind the introduction of this new Call-In System. With talks of a potential Battlefield 2042 battle royale mode, it makes sense that the developers would want to do away with the traditional method of acquiring vehicles in Battlefield multiplayer.

The Call-In System only applies to land vehicles. Air and sea vehicles can still only be accessed through the deploy screen.

That concludes our guide on Battlefield 2042 vehicles. Make sure you secure one of the Battlefield 2042 editions as we patiently await the game’s official release on November 19, 2021.
