If you're looking for the best gaming laptops under $1,500 in 2023 then you're definitely not alone, as the portable gaming experience has dramatically improved in recent years. With the days of chunky and ugly gaming laptops well in the past now, you can get a great-looking, well-performing machine for a great price too.

So, to see what has been included in our best gaming laptops under $1,500 in 2023, make sure to keep on reading down below.

Best Gaming Laptops Under $1,500 In 2023

ASUS ROG Zephyrus WQXGA

The first entry in our list of the best gaming laptops under $1,500 in 2023 is the ASUS ROG Zephyrus WQXGA, which packs a lot of power into a relatively small frame. If you're looking for a gaming laptop that is a little more portable then this is definitely for you. It is only 14", with a 1600p IPS screen that will really show the fidelity of your games.

Furthermore, it has a fast Ryzen 9 6000 series processor, 16GB of speedy DDR5 memory, and an AMD RX 6700S to power all of your games. For under $1,100 you really can't get much better if you're looking for that sweet spot between 2K and 4K.

MSI Creator 17

If you're looking for power and size combined though, there are few better options at this price point than the MSI Creator 17 gaming laptop. With a 17" FHD IPS screen with a 4K resolution at 120Hz, you will be getting the best

While - as the name suggests - this laptop is primarily built for creatives, that doesn't mean that it isn't also excellent for gaming too. With an Nvidia RTX 3070 and Intel i7-11800H build into the sleek frame, you can really push so many games to their limits.

Furthermore, if you work within the creative industries you can also use this as a dual purpose device, as the large, high-resolution IPS display will provide excellent colour accuracy and a wonderful canvas for you to work on for just under $1,500, saving you the additional cost of an extra device.

Acer Predator Helios 300

If you're looking for the best performance and the highest refresh rate under $1,500 though, then there's few better options than the Acer Predator Helios 300. Packed with an Nvidia 3070 TI and a 240Hz 1440p display, all of your games will feel smooth and look fantastic too.

It also has 16GB of the latest DDR5 RAM, meaning that you're guaranteed the fastest speeds that remain futureproof for the time being. It isn't quite as thin as some of our other choices, but the compontents that you are getting for under $1,400 more than make up for this.

GIGABYTE AERO 16 XE4-73US914HH

If a QHD is still not enough for you though, then why not cast your eyes towards the GIGABYTE AERO 16 XE4-73US914HH, which brings a 4K 16" display to the table for under $1,400. And not only does this display have a super high resolution, it also has an AMOLED screen, which will give you incredible colour accuracy and vibrancy to make your games really pop.

The downside to this is the limitation of a 60Hz screen, which is really quite disappointing for a gaming display. The one counterpoint to this is that you're unlikely to really go beyond that anyway with the included 3070 Ti, but it would be nice to have some headroom for less-intensive titles, or if you wanted to turn the resolution down.

ASUS ROG G16

Finally, the ASUS ROG G16 is the perfect option for those who want to pick up a gaming laptop with a 40-series graphics card.

Complete with an excellent Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, this laptop will keep you up to date with the latest technology for under $1,450.

While it might not be as powerful as cards like the 3070 TI, it does have access to the new DLSS 3.0 architecture which can absolutely transform framerates in the most demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077.

It is unfortunately still only a 1080p display, but that will mean that you're always going to meet or exceed the 165Hz refresh rate on the latest games, and it won't seem as bad on the 16 inch screen.

So, that wraps up this list of the best gaming laptops under $1,500, giving you plenty of options and configurations to choose from. If you're wanting some audio to go with your new laptop though, don't miss our guide on the best SteelSeries headsets here.
