The best Vanguard marksman rifles are those that can make short work of foes from afar, but still maintain a stronger mobility than the heftier snipers. Though Vanguard's list of marksman rifles is short, that doesn't mean they're not worthwhile - nor incredibly powerful in the right hands. But which marksman rifle should you be using? Here's our guide to the best Vanguard marksman rifles for the latest Call of Duty.

Curious about another weapon class? Here are all the guns in the game ranked by type:

Best Vanguard Marksman Rifles: SVT-40

Though a little slower and with heftier recoil than its compatriots, the SVT-40 packs a punch you wouldn't believe. This is by far the marksman rifle that will bag you more one-shot kills than any other, and could quite reasonably give some of the game's snipers a run for their money.

Once you've kitted this bad boy out with the attachments to offset the vicious recoil, you can take the chest-upwards one-shot-kills across the map, and with the right scope, it could be a real contender against the most powerful long-range weapons.

Vanguard Best Marksman Rifles: M1 Garand

One of the earliest weapon unlocks that Vanguard has to offer, the M1 Garand will give you an excellent headstart. It is incredibly well-balanced, not quite pulling ahead with damage but making up for it with handling speed and recoil - but that makes it perfect for customisation.

The balancing of the M1 Garand makes it excellent to mould to the exact specs you want. Pin down that recoil or boost your damage - whichever way you swing it, the Garand will treat you well.

Vanguard Best Marksman Rifles - G43

It's telling of the quality of the class that even the worst marksman rifle, the G43, isn't actually that bad. The rifle might not have the highest damage, but it makes up for it with a maddeningly quick fire rate.

This weapon is not the best of its class by any stretch, but if you've got a wicked trigger finger you want to put to use without caving on damage, then this weapon could suit you nicely.
