I've found narrowing down the best wireless gaming headsets to be one of the most challenging tasks when looking at hardware. After all, with tons of different brands and unique selling points to consider, even a minor feature in comfort or sound quality can set one model far above or below the rest.
Thankfully, that's not stopped me from being able to pick out the six best headsets in the market just for you. By the time you get to the end of this guide, you'll know exactly which one is right for you, no matter your preference or wallet size.
How I chose the best wireless gaming headsets
When selecting the budget and high-end options on our list, I've primarily considered the overall audio quality, microphone quality, connectivity, and comfort - as those are the main things that you're going to want to be on the hunt for in a headset.
Good sound and microphone quality are essential as you'll want to hear the game and have other people hear you as clearly as possible - especially if you're playing a single-player title.
Comfort is also key when it comes to a gaming headset, as you're likely to have it on for much longer than you would a standard pair of headphones. Lastly, connectivity is also important, allowing you to use the headset across a wide range of devices.

Although not packing any of the shiny extra bells and whistles, the Corsair HS55 does great in what you need from a wireless headset - all packed in its lightweight 266g design.
Mixed in with its Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz wireless connectivity of up to 50 feet, this sleek headset provides exquisite audio thanks to its custom-tuned 50mm drivers that will help you hear everything in the competitive gaming battlefield.

Best PlayStation wireless gaming headset
Sony-INZONE H9 details:
- Price: from $298.00
- Platforms: PS5, PS4, PC
- Key features:
- 360-degree spatial audio
- Discord-certified flexible microphone
- Long-lasting 32-hour battery
If you're looking for a new wireless gaming headset for PlayStation, it's a no-brainer to pick up a dedicated headset like the Sony-INZONE H9.
Manufactured by Sony themselves, this headset is made with the PlayStation in mind and thus works perfectly with your PS5, PS4, and even PC.
One of the key features of the headset is its 360-degree spatial audio, which will dramatically enhance your immersion and help you accurately track your enemies in-game. Pair this with the PS5's 3D audio technology, and you're definitely on to a winner.
In tandem with this is a stellar battery life of up to 32 hours, and and voice-focused microphone that has been certified by Discord - ensuring that those all-important comms are heard loud and clear.
Best high-end wireless gaming headset
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro details:
- Price: $343.99
- Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mobile
- Key features:
- Infinity Power System for seemingly infinite battery
- Active noise cancellation
- Extreme comfort with ComfortMAX System
From an audio perspective, it features both 360-degree spatial audio and Active Noise Cancellation to keep you in the zone and fully immersed in whatever you're playing. This is a game-changing combination and one that you'll struggle to live without once you try it for the first time.
Furthermore, another key feature of the Arctis Nova Pro comes within what SteelSeries calls the 'Infinity Power System', which in theory means that your headset never runs out of battery - as long as you charge when of its two units to hot-swap when the other runs out. This ultimately negates the one downside of a wireless headset, letting you have the best of both worlds.
Finally, this headset is also excellent when it comes to dual connectivity. The OLED Base Station lets you connect two devices and switch between them simultaneously, and the headset also allows simultaneous audio streams across wireless and Bluetooth - which is perfect if you want to play on console while listening to music or chatting on Discord.
Best hybrid wireless gaming headset
EPOS H3 Pro Hybrid details:
- Price: $112.99
- Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mobile
- Key features:
- Enhanced noise cancellation via ergonomic earcups
- Fine-tuned sound with EPOS Gaming Suite
- Audio mixing with Bluetooth for multiple connections
While they eventually split off into their own branch, EPOS was originally the gaming arm of legendary headphone manufacturer Sennheiser - and that certainly shows within the audio quality. Not only is this brilliant for games and competitive titles, but it also shines when listening to your favourite songs and immersing yourself in a film or TV show.
Furthermore, you don't have to worry about comfort either, as the velvet, memory foam ear cups will stay comfortable for hours and have no issues with heat.
This is also supported by the lengthy 37-hour battery life, so you don't have to worry too much about charging them all of the time. When considering all of these features, you really are getting one of the best wireless gaming headsets out there.

Best comfortable gaming headset
Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX details
- Price: $179.94
- Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Mobile
- Key features:
- Aerofit cooling gel-infused memory foam cushions
- Glasses-friendly mode
- Easily adjustable headband
The longer your average gaming sessions become, the more a comfortable gaming headset becomes a priority, and the wireless Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX massively ticks that box.
As mentioned in a review by my colleague Joseph Kime, the exclusive reshaped Aerofit gel-infused cushions "practically negate the sweatiness you get from wearing overbearing headphones", keeping you cool so you don't feel immense pressure on your ears.
In addition, the lightweight yet durable metal-reinforced headband and hinge structure means this headset is not only easily adjustable, but is built to last as well.
Alongside all that and the patented ProSpecs glasses relief system that allows spectacled gamers to play in comfort, you'll also get to enjoy a 40+ hour battery life, dual 2.4GHz & bluetooth, and 50mm Nanoclear speakers which are optimised for surround sound for an overall great package.
The best wireless gaming headset in 2024
HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless details:
- Price: from $172.99
- Platforms: PC, PS5, PS4
- Key features:
- Up to 300 hours battery life
- HyperX Dual Chamber Drivers for clear music & gaming
- HyperX memory foam for signature comfort
If you're looking for a gaming headset that combines the best of the other models, I've found the HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headset does it all for a brilliant price.
Even if the groundbreaking HyperX Dual Chamber Drivers were the only big feature in this gaming headset, there's even more to be loved beside the incredibly clear audio for gaming & music.
With up to a whopping 300 hours of battery life, you'll not only never have to worry about losing out on a second of your gaming session with a single charge, you'll also be spending the whole time in absolute comfort - courtesy of Hypex's signature memory foam, breathable leatherette, and lightweight form factor.
Even though the sound quality of the detachable microphone isn't the best in the world beyond the bare minimum needed for in-game chat, everything else you're getting in return is enough to not make you notice this slight drawback.
Whilst it's still a tad pricey for medium-sized budgets, rest assured this will be money more than well spent as the Hyper X Cloud Alpha is the best wireless gaming headset you can find right now.
