Perks are another wrinkle in the loadout system of Black Ops 6, letting you tweak particular aspects of how your Operator feels to play.

The Perk system has undergone plenty of overhauls in the lifespan of Call of Duty, with Modern Warfare 3 splitting perks out into Gear. While Black Ops 6 seems to be returning to a more traditional Perk system, there’s another new nuance in Specialities to be aware of.

I’ll walk you through all of the leaked Perks we know about so far and how Specialties can be a powerful boon for savvy players.

All leaked Perks in Black Ops 6 so far

There are a total of 21 leaked potential perks that might be coming to the multiplayer mode of Black Ops 6. They’re split up into three different categories, with players able to equip from Perk from each section:

Perk 1

Perk Description Specialty
Assassin Enemies on a kill streak get a unique minimap marker and drop Bounty Packs when killed. Pick up the Packs for more score. Enforcer
Scavenger Resupply ammo and equipment from killed enemies. Enforcer
Bruiser Melee kills and finishing moves replenish health and earn extra score. Enforcer
Ninja Move more quietly. Recon
Ghost Undetectable by enemy Radar Ping and UAV when moving, planting, defusing, or controlling Scorestreaks. Undetectable by Prox Alarm. Recon
Flak Jacket Reduces incoming explosive and fire damage. Strategist
Tac Mask Resistance to enemy flash and concussion grenades and enemy neuro gas. Strategist

Perk 2

Perk Description Specialty
Dexterity Reduced weapon motion while jumping, sliding, and diving. Take less fall damage. Enforcer
Gung-Ho Reduced movement penalties when reloading or using equipment. Reload while Tac Sprinting. Enforcer
Tracker See enemy footsteps, ADSing auto-pings enemies. Long cooldown. Recon
Engineer See enemy equipment and scorestreaks through walls and enemy scorestreak icons on the minimap. Recon
Forward Intel Increases minimap area and shows direction indicators for revealed enemies. Recon
Dispatcher Reduced score cost for non-lethal Scorestreaks. Stacks with Bankroll. Strategist
Fast Hands Swap weapons faster and extend focus when throwing back grenades. Strategist

Perk 3

Perk Description Specialty

Cold-Blooded Undetectable by AI targeting and thermal optics. Player-controlled Scorestreaks don’t highlight you. Immune to Spy Cam. Recon
Quartermaster Recharge equipment over time. Strategist
Gearhead 2 Field Upgrade charges. Increased Field Upgrade charge rate. Hack enemy equipment and field upgrades. Booby trap Care Packages. Strategist
Guardian Faster healing while capturing and holding objectives. Revive downed teammates faster. Strategist

Much like the leaked Scorestreaks so far, there are a few familiar names on this list that return from previous Call of Duty games, with plenty of new ones, too.

All leaked Wildcards in Black Ops 6 so far

In addition to three Perks, you can also equip one of three Wildcards to your loadout:

Wildcard Description
Overkill Equip any non-melee weapon in Primary and Secondary slots.
Gunfighter Get 3 extra attachment points for your Primary weapon.
Perk Greed Equip an extra Perk.

To be completely sure about which Perks and Wildcards will feature in the launch build of Black Ops 6, we’ll need to wait until we learn more official information from Activision. We’ll likely learn that information at the COD NEXT event on August 28, 2024.

Perk Specialties explained

Perk Specialties is a new wrinkle in the Perk system that promises to reward players who choose to equip Perks of a similar nature.

Each of the Perks in Black Ops 6 will be sorted into three different categories: Enforcer, Recon, and Strategist. If players equip all three Perks from a particular speciality, then they’ll gain one of the following additional buffs:

  • Enforcer: Killing enemies grants a temporary buff to movement speed and health regen rate
  • Recon: Enemies can be seen through walls for a short time after respawning, a HUD edge indicator flashes when an enemy is outside your view, leave no death skulls when killing enemies
  • Strategist: Earn a score bonus for objectives and destroying enemy content through walls a short distance, deploy equipment and field upgrades faster

With this information arriving via a leak, it’s all completely subject to change. As it stands, however, these buffs appear to be extremely powerful. If players are savvy about composing their loadouts to suit a very specific playstyle, then Perk Specialties could be extremely lucrative in the hands of the right Operator.

This guide is a work in progress. We’ll update it as we learn more about the game.
