Ranked Mode has been a staple of recent Call of Duty titles, and it's you can dive back into the competitive action in Black Ops 6. It won't be there immediately at launch though, so find out everything you need to know about the mode right here.

When does Ranked Mode start?

It has now been officially confirmed that Ranked Mode will commence with Season 1 in Black Ops 6.

Going off previous CoD titles, I expect this to be around early December 2024, giving you a couple of months to hone your skills before diving into the competitive action.

You'll likely find that you need the practice more so than ever before too, as new mechanics like omnimovement will need to be mastered if you're looking for any success.

Ranked Mode explained

While there's no official communication regarding the form of Ranked Mode in Black Ops 6, it's safe to assume it'll be fairly similar to previous iterations. If you're looking for a more competitive and meaningful Call of Duty experience then Ranked Mode is definitely for you, as it'll put your skills to the test against similarly skilled players.

You'll have your own rank and can continue climbing as long as you keep winning. At the end of each season, you'll earn rewards based on your rank, which can help incentivise climbing as far as you can on the ladder.

Ranked Play also aligns itself with the current Call of Duty League rules, letting you play in the same environment as your favourite esports pros. As the new season doesn't start until late 2024, we could see a number of new rules and changes introduced in line with any of the new features in Black Ops 6.
