How do you catch fish?
To catch fish, you will need both a fishing rod and bait. Here is how to get both the three available fishing rods and bait:
- Bait: Buy from fishmongers or in random chests
- Wooden Rod: Buy from fishmongers
- Bronze Rod: Buy from Palo Town fishmongers if you are level 30+
- Collector's Rod: Buy from Shell Island fishmongers if you are level 50+
To pull off fishing, you just need to execute the following steps:
- Buy a fishing rod
- Equip your fishing rod
- Cast your rod out on any body of water you find
- Keep your rod out until a fish takes a bite
- Continuously click the left button on your mouse until the fish is caught
You should keep in mind that the bigger and rarer the fish on the hook is, the more clicks you will need to successfully reel the fish in.
