Cocoon is a new puzzle adventure game from lead Limbo and Inside developer Jeppe Carlson. Cocoon hosts many worlds containing inside orbs which are collected by the main character. With hints of a previous ancient civilisation prevalent in the game, you’ll discover remnants of old technology from the past, left behind by alien lifeforms. Is There A Cocoon Release Date?
First announced on the Xbox-Bethesda 2022 showcase, Cocoon is set to release sometime in 2023 across PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It will also be available on Microsoft’s Games Pass upon launch. Cocoon launched on September 29, 2023.

As shown through the announcement trailer, Cocoon will centre around a winged creature, tasked with collecting orbs that contain worlds. These worlds have different abilities that can be utilised when traversing between orbs. The different orb worlds contain the potential for a host of different biomes and creatures, with reoccurring hints of an ancient alien race. This top-down puzzle game is a refreshing sidestep from the bleak art scheme of Limbo, with sci-fi elements included.
