Good news, RTS fans - Company of Heroes 3 is now available on console, with Company of Heroes 3: Console Edition.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S players can lead their forces from the comfort (and safety) of their armchairs. Here's all you need to know about the Console Edition, which launched on May 30, 2023.

Which consoles is Company of Heroes 3 available on?

Company of Heroes 3: Console Edition is available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles only.

That means that there's currently no way to play it on last-gen consoles like the PS4 or Xbox One, nor is it available on Nintendo Switch, sadly.

Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition differences

Wondering what's different? A lot of it comes down to the UI, making things easier to control with a gamepad versus a mouse and keyboard which is more typical of the genre.

According to the game's website, the console edition of Company of Heroes 3 offers a full UI overhaul that makes it purpose-built for controllers.

You won't be able to enjoy cross-play or cross-progression between the Company of Heroes 3: Console Edition and the PC release, sadly.

The console version of CoH 3 doesn't offer an in-game Store or Challenges, and won't support mods like you'll find in the PC version.

When it comes to post-launch content, SEGA and developer Relic have confirmed updates will be launched later on the console version, with post-launch content coming to the PC version first. Given the franchise's (and indeed the genre's) history with PC, that's perhaps understandable and should placate fans that were worried content would roll out a little slower.
