- Make sure to also check our Company of Heroes 3 release date guide, which covers most of the information we know about the game so far.
Company Of Heroes 3 Factions: US Forces
The first of the game's factions are the US Forces, which offer up an aggressive and combative play style that's similar to the original game and its Western Front campaign. This faction benefits from the superior production, mobility, and arms of the US military, boasting flexible infantry units, light vehicles, and powerful tanks.
While they are still familiar to those who've played the US Forces of the older game, there are new units and Battlegroups which flesh them out, such as the SSF Commandos who are a group of elite infantryman.
Company Of Heroes 3 Factions: British Forces
The British Forces are another returning force, but this time they are younger and more mobile than their previous appearances. They're designed to be the easiest faction, making them great for learning the mechanics of the game for newer players, thanks to their simple tech-tree and streamlined units.
The British Forces have the ability to call upon weapons, vehicles, and infantry from their allies such as Indian Artillery, the resilient Gurkhas, and more.
Company Of Heroes 3 Factions: Wehrmacht
The final of the returning Company of Heroes 3 factions are the Wehrmacht, which was the official army of Nazi Germany. They are incredibly robust and tough, making them a strong defensive force that also has the means to launch counterattacks after soaking up the initial assault.
They are once again similar to their versions from the old games, but the structure of their-tech tree has altered to give players a choice about investing in their buildings and structures, unlocking strong Wirbelwind and StuG units, or holding out for the destructive force that is the Panzer IV.
Company Of Heroes 3 Factions: Deutsches Afrikakorps
The final faction for this title, and a brand-new addition to the franchise, is the Deutsches Afrikakorps, who are an elite force of mobile and mechanised units that decimated the North African theatre. They have the ability to call support from Battlegroups by requisitioning vehicles and artillery, such as Italian Bersaglieri and Guastatori.
They have a plethora of powerful German units, like Panzer and Tiger tanks, the Flak 88, and the 8Rad Armoured Car, while also allowing their infantryman to ride along so they can stay in the action.
That's all for our breakdown of the Company of Heroes 3 factions, and now you know the four factions which are set to join the game during launch.
