Shortly after you finish the tutorial for the dynamic Italian campaign map, the Company of Heroes 3 select campaign company decision will pop up, forcing you to choose between three companies to begin the Allied invasion with.

Your choices for this are either the US Special Forces, US Airborne, or UK Indian Artillery, and once you've selected your company, you'll be placed on the map with them and given free rein to begin the invasion.
