During the Xbox Games Showcase, developer Compulsion Games revealed their new title, South of Midnight, set to come to Xbox consoles, Steam, and Game Pass.
The game is described as a fantastical and macabre third-person action-adventure set in the American Deep South. Here's everything we know about South of Midnight so far as well as the trailer which gave us a brief look into the world.
Compulsion Games reveals South of Midnight
The creators of We Happy Few have announced their new title South of Midnight which is inspired by the American Deep South.
While the trailer didn't reveal a huge amount, it did give us a peak into the world and a few of the characters we can expect to meet.
One of the characters was searching for a specific creature and asking for help from a mysterious stranger playing the guitar, so it's possible we'll be hunting monsters.
The main protagonist also appears to be using magic or an enchanted weapon in the trailer, and may even have the ability to communicate with animals.
Although the trailer only gave us a glimpse into what's on offer from Compulsion Games, it's definitely an interesting concept.
Not only that, but the art style of South of Midnight really makes the game stand out. At this point in time, we don't know whether the game is open-world or any details on the narrative, so we'll just have to hope Compulsion reveals more soon.
Either way, the creepy and rather unsettling trailer definitely grabbed the attention of fans at the Xbox Games Showcase.
