Can You Play Cult of the Lamb Well With A Mouse And Keyboard?
Once you're into the game, you'll find it a little odd to use the mouse and keyboard as it's an action game, but you'll get used to it. Actually, when compared to the Nintendo Switch version, I prefer using the mouse and keyboard.
You can change the direction of your attacks with the mouse cursors and then strike your foes with the left click. Your special move is also located with the right mouse button, making each attack easy to access. It's easier than getting all the doctrines, certainly.
Picking up items will come naturally to you if you're a dedicated PC gamer as it's the E key, which is the default input for that action in most games. Dodging is also left shift, which is easy to handle. For the most part, battles are easy to handle with the mouse and keyboard, especially if you upgrade your character well. However, there are a few issues outside of fighting.
Farming ingredients is admittedly a little cumbersome with a mouse and keyboard. The cursor when trying to make soil for your vegetables and plants skips a block easily. I've caved and just made a triangle at points rather than a firm square just because of how strict the cursor is. Hopefully, this can be improved with a patch. At least we can farm gold well!
Other than the farming issues, it's a little baffling why the developer would prefer you to use a controller instead so vehemently. The mouse and keyboard for the most part is an excellent way to play Cult of the Lamb.
