There's an island you can't quite reach in AFK Journey in the Dark Forest 5 area once you first arrive there. If you're not sure how to get to this island, I'm here to help.

If you're the kind of player who likes to 100% each area in the game before moving on, Dark Forest 5 might have you stumped. This area isn't available right away, so you'll have to go elsewhere and finish some things up before you can head back. Here's what you need to do!

How to reach the Dark Forest 5 island

In order to reach this island in Dark Forest 5, you need to continue through the rest of the Dark Forest storyline until you've cleared Dark Forest 7

Just progress through the story as you normally would, and be sure to clear AFK stages and level up your characters so you can unlock Dark Forest 6 and 7 without too much trouble.

Once you've progressed enough, you'll be able to visit the island in Dark Forest 5. As far as I know, there's no other way to get to this island other than completing the story quests, so just progress normally and you'll eventually get there.

Why is Dark Forest 5 only available later?

The island greyed out on the Dark Forest 5 map.

Most areas in AFK Journey can be accessed as soon as you enter whatever zone they're in, so it's a little unusual that part of this map is unavailable at first.

That's because this island has story implications for the Dark Forest. To avoid spoilers, I'll just say that this island is an important place and therefore it's only accessible at the end of the storyline.

Have no fear though - all players will eventually be sent there by completing story quests, so you won't miss out.
