How long it takes to beat Dave the Diver & full chapter list
Here's everything you need to know about how long it takes to complete Dave the Diver, as well as what each chapter is called in the game.
Dave the Diver is all about exploring the ocean, catching fish and running the best sushi restaurant around, but if you’re new to the game you may be wondering how long it takes to beat it. On top of that, I've also outlined how many chapters there are too.
As you progress through Dave the Diver, you’ll be completing a variety of different missions that will take you to the depths of the ocean, upgrading different weapons, and taking on bosses all whilst running a successful restaurant at night. There’s plenty to see and do, so here’s how long it should take you.
How long to beat Dave the Diver
Beating the game should take around 25 hours in total. This would be to get through the main storyline and complete all of the different chapters. If you want to see and do everything, it’s going to take a bit longer.
If you were to 100% the game you’d be looking at near the 50-hour mark. I’d say, the average player who does a bit of side content and collects plenty of items will most likely sit somewhere between the two.
Complete chapter list
There are eight chapters in total, although that includes the prologue which acts as a tutorial. I’ve listed them below, alongside the name of the chapter.
Prologue | A Sushi Bar by the Blue Hole |
Chapter 1 | Traces of the Sea People |
Chapter 2 | Traces of the Sea People |
Chapter 3 | A Request From the Sea People |
Chapter 4 | Abandoned Cave |
Chapter 5 | Frozen Passage |
Chapter 6 | Melting Glacier |
Chapter 7 | Broken Control Room |
The game is still receiving content, so I'll keep this page updated in case anything changes or if there is any significant DLC. Next up, in May, Godzilla will be arriving in the game, so it’ll be interesting to see how much this adds to the experience.
That’s all there is to know about how long it’ll take to finish Dave the Diver. We've also rounded up all of the Operator Codes you can redeem in the game.
