Is Dead Island 2 an Epic Games Store exclusive?
Being able to play Dead Island 2 on Steam like its predecessor Riptide would be a delight for PC fans of the series. However, the sequel will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store when it releases on April 28.
Unfortunately, there are no signs the game will come to almost everyone's preferred way to play PC games as Dead Island 2 is not even listed on Steam at the time of writing.
Epic Games Store exclusives usually last between 6-12 months with games like Final Fantasy VII Remake, Neo: The World Ends With You, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate all making their way to Steam eventually after release.
Keep in mind, however, that Epic Games still has exclusive titles years after release, like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 and the Kingdom Hearts series, so there is a possibility that Dead Island 2 may never come to Steam.

Steam users will not be able to play this zombie game due to the Dead Island 2 Epic Games Store exclusivity. Thankfully, there are some alternatives. There is, of course, the original game alongside its sequel Riptide.
Additionally, you can check out the stellar co-op experiences of the Left 4 Dead series and Back 4 Blood. They each have hectic zombie action that has you working with your friends to survive in the apocalypse with the best guns available.
