Is Dead Island 2 open world?
Dead Island 2 does not have an open world, instead containing numerous separate locations that can be fully explored but require loading screens to move between.
The sequel uses the exact same system as the previous games, with the original title having four large open areas for players to complete quests and kill zombies.
This time around the locations are a bit smaller, but there are more of them, letting players explore ten iconic locations from Los Angeles, such as Beverly Hills, Venice Beach, and Ocean Avenue.
You'll progress through all ten locations in a specific order as part of the main story, but you can freely travel between them as new routes open, and even use fast travel once you reach a certain part of the game.
