Solstice 2024
The Destiny 2 Brightfall challenge is part of the ongoing Solstice event. Destiny 2 runs this event every Summer and this year it is particularly important, as completing the steps of this event can net you some armour with seriously high stats. There are plenty of challenges to complete, but few will take longer than the Brightfall challenge. Here is everything you need to know to complete the Destiny 2 Brightfall challenge.
- If you are playing Destiny during the Solstice event, you would do well to get yourself some powered-up Destiny 2 Solstice armour.
Destiny 2 Brightfall: How To Start
The Brightfall challenge is part of the Solstice event. If you haven't played during this event, you need to go to Eva Levante and complete the introductory quest steps she gives you. This will get you started on the event, and give you the Solstice event card.
The event card contains all the challenges included in the event, including Brightfall. Each of these challenges grant Kindling, as well as event tickets. Kindling is needed for improving your Solstice armour, meaning it is a crucial resource. The event tickets are used to purchase cosmetic items, but you need to purchase the upgraded event card for 1000 Silver.
Once you have completed the introductory steps and are given the event card, you are free to complete the challenges in any order, including Brightfall.
- To get the most out of the Solstice event, you will need to stock up on Destiny 2 Silver Leaves.
Destiny 2 Brightfall: How To Complete
The Brightfall challenge is likely to take a while. It relates to Vanguard Ops, meaning Strike playlists and Nightfalls. It is simple enough in concept, there is a progression meter that fills up as you play and complete Vanguard Ops.
This challenge is quite a grind, as it can take many Strike completions to get it done. Thankfully, the process can be sped up. As is often the case with these things, increasing the difficulty can shorten the amount of time required. Completing Nightfall Strikes on higher difficulties grants much more progress toward the Brightfall challenge. If you can manage it, this method can drastically reduce the time it takes to complete Brightfall. Otherwise, you can just chip away at it for the next few weeks as the event continues.
Your best bet is to grab some friends and get to grinding. There might be a couple of evening's work in getting this challenge done, but if you plan it well you can get a couple of other challenges done along the way.
That is everything you need to do to complete the Destiny 2 Brightfall challenge. For more on the game, check out our look at a potential Destiny 2 poison subclass in the near future.
