Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost is the yearly Halloween event that takes place within the game. Destiny 2 is a live game and like most games of that nature, they find ways to tie into holidays and important events. Festival of the Lost is the Destiny universe's equivalent of Halloween, a time to remember and celebrate. Here is everything you need to know about Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2022.

Destiny 2 Festival Of The Lost: How To Start

As is often the case with seasonal events in Destiny 2, the first thing you need to do is visit Eva Levante in the Tower. She will give you a questline that will teach you the ins and outs of the event and the activities involved. Your first objective should be to complete that quest, which will set you up nicely to get involved. Get your first mask, start gathering pages, and complete event challenges.

Something that is relatively new are these event challenges, and the event card. These aspects were introduced for the Solstice of Heroes event a few months ago. Essentially, the event card has a number of challenges related to the event. Completing these challenges will get you rewards, as well as tickets.

Tickets are used for the upgraded event card, a version of the event card that can be purchased for 1000 Silver, through which you can unlock several cosmetic items using those tickets. Getting all of the cosmetic items in the upgrade event card takes some work, but it is much cheaper than buying the items would be individually.

Destiny 2 Festival of The Lost Activities And Loot

Festival of the Lost holds true to the traditions of Destiny 2 holiday events. There is a limited-time activity tied to the event, with its own currencies to collect and items to acquire. A lot of what you will be doing is collecting Spectral Pages and turning them into Manifested Pages. You will do this as part of the introductory quest, but also continuously throughout the event to complete challenges. Once you complete the introductory quest, you get access to all the event challenges, which will be your main list of objectives for the event.

Also, when you do complete the intro quest you will receive the Mechabre sniper rifle from Eva Levante. This is the newest Festival of the Lost weapon, and can be acquired in the event activity alongside the previous Festival weapons. This year's Festival of the Lost activity is reminiscent of last year, but with some changes. In this version, you are sent into a Lost Sector, or a Haunted Sector, where you will find a capture point. Capture it and a Headless One will spawn, a Halloween-themed Hive Knight boss. Defeat the Headless One and more capture points will appear. Capture the points, spawn more Headless Ones, and defeat as many as you can within the time limit, up to a maximum of ten.

Completing Haunted Sectors can reward you with Festival of the Lost weapons, which all have a new origin perk called Search Party. You can farm these weapons as much as you like, but completing the activity also turns your Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages. Manifested Pages can then be brought back to the Book of Forgotten beside Eva Levante for extra lore and to complete challenges. So the loop is this; gather Spectral Pages by completing any activity while wearing a Festival mask, complete Haunted Sectors to turn them into Manifested Pages, turn the pages in to Eva for rewards.

Destiny 2 Festival of The Lost New Cosmetics

If you'd rather unlock some cool new items with your wallet than with your time and effort, you can do that too. Specifically, the new mech armour sets that are available to purchase. These Gundam-inspired sets are some of the most interesting and unusual armour we have seen in Destiny 2, and they are available now during the Festival event.

There are plenty of other new and returning items in the Eververse store, definitely a good time to check it out. If there are any previous Festival of the Lost items you have been wanting, now is your time. The event lasts until November 8th, so be sure to get what you need before then.

That is it for the Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost 2022. For more on the game, such as info on upcoming features, check out Destiny 2 Lightfall Loadouts explained.
