Destiny 2 has resurrected the Forbearance and Hammerhead legendary weapons in a new guise, with new perks to roll. Destiny 2 is gearing players up for the climactic battle coming in The Final Shape by bringing back some of the best weapons in the game.

For Forbearance and Hammerhead, as with all BRAVE Arsenal weapons, there are some useful ways to focus your grinding, so here's how you can get these weapons and the best versions of each for PvE and PvP.

How to unlock Forbearance & Hammerhead

Both Forbearance and Hammerhead can be acquired as random drops in Onslaught, but to get the curated rolls you will need to complete the quests given by Arcite.

To acquire these quests, speak with him in the Hall of Champions. Each quest requires you to get a certain number of kills; with Breech-Loaded Grenade Launchers for Forbearance and Machine Guns for Hammerhead.

Completing these quests will net you the limited edition curated roll for each weapon, as well as the ability to attune to them. Curated rolls are excellent versions, but not the most optimal in terms of perks. While they are still desirable, if you are looking for god rolls, the main reason you should complete this quest is for attunement.

Quests for unlocking BRAVE Arsenal weapons in Destiny 2

Completing the quest for a weapon in the BRAVE Arsenal allows you to attune to it in the Hall of Champions, which dramatically increases the chances of getting random drops of that weapon in Onslaught. For example, if you really want a good roll on Forbearance, attune to it and you should get more of them.

The limited editions of these weapons have a unique look but also come with double perks in the third and fourth columns. These are the most desirable, as not only do they have double the chances of being god rolls, but they can potentially roll with perks useful in different situations.

If you're lucky, you might get one weapon just as suited to raids and dungeons as it is to Trials of Osiris.

If you want the god roll for either of these weapons, you'll first want to follow the steps above, and then get settled in for a grind.

Once you're attuned, you simply need to play Onslaught over and over to get more random drops until hopefully, you get the one that you want. Legend difficulty is useful for this, as you get double rewards every 10 levels.

We all love a god roll, and while the exact definition is up to interpretation for most weapons, here are my picks for the best rolls for Forbearance and Hammerhead:

Quick Launch Quick Launch
High-Velocity Rounds High-Velocity Rounds
Ambitious Assassin Steady Hands
Chain Reaction Chain Reaction

Hammerhead

PvE PvP
Arrowhead Brake Arrowhead Brake
Flared Magwell Ricochet Rounds
