Solstice 2024
Destiny 2 has a lot of exotics for players to use, and Lightfall has added even more powerful gear to the game. We've got a list of all the new exotic armour and weaponry you can find in the latest expansion.
Exotic weapons
- Winterbite
- Final Warning
- Verglas Curve
- Deterministic Chaos
- Quicksilver Storm
- Conditional Finality
- Vexcalibur
There are lots of new exotic weapons available as part of the Lightfall expansion. Most can be obtained on Neomuna through various quests, but there are some available through other content too.
Here's a rundown of each new exotic weapon in the game, as well as what that exotic can do and where you can find it.
Winterbite
Winterbite is a new heavy Stasis glaive that can freeze enemies with large balls of energy that lock onto targets. You need to complete the Hall of Heroes quests once you're done with the Lightfall campaign to unlock it.
Final Warning
Final Warning is one of the first Strand exotics, and it's a sidearm that can "unravel" targets after you mark them. Projectiles will track marked targets in hipfire mode. It's obtained by unlocking all Strand Fragments.
Verglas Curve
Verglas Curve is a Stasis bow that can freeze and create Stasis crystals, and fire multiple arrows at once in a single volley. It was available through the Season 20 pass and can be obtained through the kiosk next to the vault in the Tower.
Deterministic Chaos
This powerful Void machine gun fires a heavy weakening projectile with every fourth bullet, making targets volatile. Deterministic Chaos is obtained through a long questline called Unfinished Business.
Quicksilver Storm
A kinetic auto rifle which can fire micro-rockets and comes with a grenade launcher mode. Only available by purchasing the Deluxe edition of Lightfall, or in the exotic kiosk.
Conditional Finality
This shotgun is easily one of the most fun weapons in Destiny 2. It's a Stasis shotgun that fires a freezing projectile with the first shot and a solar blast with the second, igniting all enemies in the explosion. It can only be obtained as a random drop at the end of Root of Nightmares, but you can complete various Raid triumphs to boost your chance of finding it.
Vexcalibur
This weapon's quest was introduced partway into Season 20. There's a secret quest you must find and complete to get your hands on it, but once you do you'll have a mighty Vex glaive to wield.
Exotic armor
- Cyrtarachne's Facade
- Swarmers
- Abeyant Leap
- Cadmus Ridge Lancecap
- Speedloader Slacks
- Ballidorse Wrathweavers
As well as exotic weapons, Lightfall also has three different Strand-focused exotic armour pieces for players to find. There's one available for each type of Guardian, as you might expect at this point. All can be found within Legend and Master Lost Sectors or by completing the Lightfall campaign on Legendary difficulty.
Cyrtarachne's Facade
Hunters get the new exotic helmet Cyrtarachne's Facade. This helmet grants the Woven Mail buff when grappling with the new Strand subclass. Woven Mail improves flinch resistance.
Swarmers
Warlocks get new boots called Swarmers that can spawn Threadlings when destroying Tangles in the world. Threadlings unravel targets that they damage.
Abeyant Leap
Titans get the Abeyant Leap leg armour which allows Drengr's Lash to spawn two more projectiles and travel farther. You'll gain Woven Mail flinch resistance when suspending targets.
Cadmus Ridge Lancecap
You can also find more armour for each class in Legend Lost Sectors. Titans get the Cadmus Ridge Lancecap, a helmet that creates Diamond Lances when you're behind a rally barricade.
Speedloader Slacks
Hunters have Speedloader Slacks, new boots that buff your reload speed, handling, and airborne effectiveness.
Ballidorse Wrathweavers
Warlocks got a new exotic named Ballidorse Wrathweavers, gauntlets that increase shatter damage and grants overshields and Stasis weapon damage to your team when using Winter's Wrath shockwaves.
